What to Prepare

• One comedic monologue (30 seconds–1 minute)
• One 32-bar comedic musical theatre cut in the style of the show
  • Bring sheet music in the correct key (accompanist provided) or have a non-vocal rehearsal/karaoke track prepared

• Auditions are individual: Song, then Monologue
• Possible cold reads 
• Separate Callbacks as necessary

A Brief Note on Age and Gender

We are accepting performers age 18+ only!
While the below casting breakdown provides some general character descriptions and vocal ranges, we are certainly open to flexible casting in regards to both age and gender. That said, this show explores themes surrounding gender stereotypes and romantic tropes, so some characters are best suited for performers with certain gender presentations. 

Casting Breakdown (4 Performers)

The show is a comedic revue, and all performers play multiple roles.
We’re looking for strong comedic timing, versatility, and quick character shifts.

Performer 1 (Female), Mezzo/Belter
Warm, relatable, strong comedic instincts, can play romantic and sincere.

Performer 2 (Female), Soprano/Mezzo
Bold, playful, strong physical comedy, able to make clear character choices.

Performer 3 (Male), Tenor/Baritone
Charming, sincere, can play both the “straight-man” and comedic lead.

Performer 4 (Male), Baritone/Bass
Character actor; versatile with accents and physical humor.

Overall Performer Expectations

• Strong comedic timing & physicality
• Ability to quick-change characters and styles

Comfortable with ensemble work and movement
