It’s 1962 in Baltimore and quirky, plus-sized, teenage Tracy Turnblad has one dream: to dance on “The Corny Collins Show.” Overnight, Tracy transforms from a nobody into a star, and uses her newfound influence to advocate for racial integration on the television show.
Please bring a headshot and résumé and prepare 32 bars of a music selection in the style of the show (i.e. Bluegrass, Rock, Swing etc). An accompanist will be provided for the audition. Please bring sheet music marked for your 32 bar cut that you will be singing.
