WHAT TO PREPARE:

Please prepare a 32 bar cut of a song in the style of the show. There will be a dance and group acting exercise, so make sure to bring a change of clothes!

* PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE SHOW, WE ARE CASTING FROM 16-35 YEARS OLD *

ROLES AVAILABLE:

Jesus (Male/Tenor) Charismatic and high energy, yet gentle and loving. He is the deceptively calm leader of the troupe

John the Baptist/ Judas (Male/Baritone) Plays two Biblical figures: one as an ardent disciple and the other as a doubter. Like Jesus, he is also charismatic, but in an overt, revolutionary way

Robin (Female/Mezzo Soprano) The sweet, tomboyish one who commits first (Sings”Day by Day”)

Lamar (Male/Tenor) The gentle, innocent disciple (Sings “All Good Gifts”)

Gilmer (Female/Mezzo Soprano) A guiding light/comedienne in the group (Sings “Learn Your Lessons Well” )

Jeffrey (Male/Tenor) High energy, playful and impish (Sings “We Beseech Thee”)

Peggy (Female/Alto) The shy girl of the troupe. She is sometimes slow to catch on, but once she understands, she commits (sings “By My Side”)

Herb (Male/Baritone) The comedic class-clown of the troupe. Possesses a talent for voices and imitations (Sings part of “Light of the World”)

Joanne (Female/Soprano) A confident show off who is always the first to volunteer (Sings “Bless The Lord”)

Sonia (Female/Soprano) A slightly cynical and sassy girl in the troupe (Sings “Turn Back, O Man”)
