Limelight Theatre Introduces New Education Coordinator With Young Actors Workshop

St. Augustine, FL – The Limelight Theatre has recently hired Kate Messenger as the Education Coordinator. Kate is a 2005 graduate of the Flagler College Theatre Department. She has been active in the performing arts since childhood and has experience in theatre, dance, film and television. She spent many hours at Flagler both on stage and behind the scenes. Most recently Kate was in Columbus, Ohio working with an international non-profit organization offering children’s theatre classes to ages 6-16. She is excited to be back in St. Augustine and looking forward to bringing theater to the youth of our community.


Attention all rising stars! The Limelight Theatre’s KIDZfACTory is back with a new workshop, Young Actors Workshop. Beginning October 23 and running through November 20th, 2007, Tuesdays and Thursdays as follows: Tuesday, 4-6PM for grades 1-5; Thursday 5-7 PM grades 6 and up. Tuition is $80 per student. We look forward to seeing new students as well as familiar faces in this exciting 4-week session. This workshop will help young actors sharpen their skills through various fun activities like improv, theatre games, scene work, movement, speech and much more. Participants will present a showcase performance at the end of the workshop for friends and family. So whether you are a seasoned pro or a curious new comer, you have got to see what we are up to!
