The Limelight Theatre Announces? Best Act Winners

    St. Augustine, FL: At the Limelight Theatre and around town people are still talking about the 6th annual Celebrity Cabaret. The 2007 fund raising event, titled, "Guys and Gals", A Parody of Love and Relationships, took place on November 14, 15, 16 and 17. Cast members in the hilarious acts lip-synced the lyrics to Broadway show-tunes, rock and roll and the latest hip musical numbers, all in full costume and cleverly choreographed.


    From the18 acts this years winners were: 1st place, Before He Cheats; 2nd place, I Hope I Get It; and voted best overall act was the Finale, High School Musical.

    Everyone who contributed to the most successful Celebrity Cabaret to date had a great time! Each night Carrabba's Italian Grill catered a cocktail party, and Marsh Creek Country Club provided deserts.
    First Place

    First Place - "Before He Cheats", (front row: Kati Bexley, 2nd row: Ross Forsyth, Daphne Cameron, Ken Bryan, Jayne Moon, Bill Coleman and Carolyn Coleman.
    Second Place

    Second Place - "I Hope I Get It" (Joe Sabatella, Judy Cornett, Dean Parker, Maureen Zygmont, Ray Matuza and Sue Foley.
    Best Overall

    Best Overall Act - "High School Musical" led by the LLT Staff, (Scott Ashley, Stacey Capo, Emma Lee Carpenter, Beth Lambert, Kate Messenger, Cathy O'Brien, Kristin Pidcock and Jeanie Rooney).
